Being on lockdown has enabled me to do some baking which I find really relaxing and fun. I call myself an experimental baker. I have collated the many recipes I have seen on TV, read about and been shown to create my own recipes.
My family love my baking (well so do I but I am staying away from eating too much of my creations).
I have always wanted to bake a wedding cake but that is a bit extreme. One I don't want to waste the money to buy the ingredients to make a wedding cake, and two I don't want to agree to make someone else's wedding cake in case it is a total disaster. Maybe one day I might just make a very small wedding cake to say I did achieve my goal.
Hello Mrs Tofa, All those amazing recipes looked delicious! Its also great seeing your also keeping yourself busy during the lockdown by baking!

Hi Uinita,
DeleteThank you for the lovely comment. Yes baking is something I do when I am bored or when I am stressed too. When I was at uni, I would bake something to relax my mind before I sat down to write an essay.
Wow, Mrs Tofa. Those pineapple pies reminds me of the year 7 & 8 camp we went to a couple of years back. Those baking really look so yummy. I just can't wait for our usual Friday morning tea in school. We will ask you do a baking session for the staff. Keep safe
ReplyDeleteOh I remember those pies Mr Nath. They were so delicious. Our baker certainly had hidden talents :)
DeleteTalofa Mrs Tofa,
ReplyDeleteYummy goes my tummy Mrs Tofa. Oh how I wish I was in lockdown with your family. How talented are you. I look forward to learning how to bake some of those yummy pies and recipes. Keep posting on your baking as it encourages me to try and bake something for my family.
God bless your family.

Malo le soifua Mrs Patea,
DeleteMy house is often smelling like a bakery during the lockdown as baking is something I like to do but often find it time consuming. Now that we are on lockdown, I have a bit more freedom to do some baking. I am what you might call a rustic baker. I don't really use fancy ingredients. I just use normal ingredients you would easily find at the supermarket.
I have used my pineapple pie recipe for 15 years now. It was originally given to me by a sister missionary and I have tweaked it so many times to my liking and now I call the recipe I now use, my own.
The baking looks delicious, Mrs Tofa. I am sure they tasted yummy. So proud of you!
ReplyDeleteCould you share by e-mail a simple sponge cake recipe for me to try, please?
Wow Mrs Tofa! Your baking looks delicious. I have never tried pineapple pie before, but I want to now! I have also done some baking during lock down! Check out my blog to see how my carrot cake turned out.
