Its five weeks now since we started gymnastics. We surely have come a long way. Our confidence is greater than when we started and we are finding new ways to challenge ourselves in the activities. Here are some photos from our session today.

This term, our Kiwisport is Gymnastics. At the beginning some of the students were reluctant to do some of the activities because of their fears of failure or injury. The coach Kane assured everyone if they follow instructions and gave it a try they will find all the activities are achievable. We are now in Week 3 and have proven Kane right. The activities are fun and all students are finding new confidence in what they are able to do in Gymnastics. Here are some photos from one of our first sessions.

Snag golf fun

This term we have been learning skills in the game of golf through our Kiwi Sport. It is actually called Snag Golf and it is a lot of fun. 

We have learnt how to chip, the correct posture for hitting the ball, putting the ball and following through with our strike. 

The coaches always have fun activities for us to participate in and everyone gets involved. The funniest part is when someone hits the target and has to call out SNAG really loud. When we hear the word snag we all get competitive and try to get a snag ourselves.

Kiwisport - Athletics

On Tuesday 1 September we had our last Kiwisport session with coach Georgia. She taught us athletics skills in - high jump, shot put, discuss, sprinting and hurdles. It has been fun learning from Georgia and we wish to thank her for her time and effort.
