Arman's poem about the Treaty of Waitangi

Treaty Of Waitangi

Bang!
 Gunshots
Like leaves fallen to the ground
The casualties of war
Lie helpless
Hopeless count

Two copies
One says left
The other says right
Moari in the middle
Not knowing which is right

Hone Heke as fast as a cheetah
First to sign
First to regret

Now 6 February
A public holiday
Hone Heke will probably hate
