Hayden's poem about the Treaty of Waitangi

 Treaty of Waitangi

Maori chiefs free as birds

To sign a piece of paper

Given to them by the British

Land ran away

As fast as it could

The chiefs who signed are gone

The chiefs now fight on

For their land
