Novel reading in Room 7.

A shared class novel is a must in Room 7. Everyday after lunchtime we have our shared novel where Mrs Tofa reads to the whole class. It is a time of listening, thinking, imagination and sharing of ideas about the book. Right now we are about to finish Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl.

It has been an entertaining book and we are very excited to see where the story ends. Right now we are on chapter 20 where Danny and his father have completed their big project on Mr Hazel's pheasants. However, the turning point is when Mrs Clipstone came with the pheasants in the pram but the birds were flying out of the pram because the sleeping pills were wearing off.

Does your class have novel reading? If so what novel are you reading right now?  We would love to keep sharing our shared novel with any classes so do let us know.

  8. Thank you Room 7 students for the comments. I do agree it has been a fun book and I am enjoying the style of writing Roald Dahl has. Our next novel will be different in style but its good to get exposure to different authors and their writing techniques.

PS: We do have many other posts in our class blogs you can add some comments to :)
