Classifying trees

Today we repeated the activity of classifying trees around the school. We took a stroll and took photos of plants and trees we wanted to research. 

Question - How do you know when something is a fruit or a vegetable?

When we returned to class this is the first plant we found in our research. It is called a Sweet Gum Tree. It has a very distinct leaf shape and a spiky seed. 

This tree is located next to our school hall.
