Room 7's Cooking Challenge

Today Room 7's activity was a Cooking Challenge. It was an awesome day to be in the kitchen putting together some yummy kai and sharing with our class at our online shared lunch meet. 

The delicious entries from our class members and teachers were:

  • Burgers
  • Chocolate cake
  • Chocolate chip cookies
  • Frooze balls
  • Chickey curry
  • Fried mashed potatoes
  • Maori bread
  • Donuts
  • Pineapple pies
  • Curry mini pies
Well done to all the Room 7 students who took part today and also to Miss Woodhall, Mrs Naidu and Mrs Tofa.

These are my Frooze Balls. They are made from condensed milk, desiccated coconut, nuts and food colouring which is optional. They were a little challenging to make but I succeeded at the end. My dad tried them and said they were good.

Mahdieh's speech about Jacinda Ardern

Mahdieh chose to focus on our Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern for her speech. First, she researched the information and then wrote her speech. The second part of the task was to record herself presenting her speech.

This week's art challenge by AJ

This week, our school is having an art challenge. We are also encouraged to incorporate Maori designs to celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori. This is AJ's entry for the art challenge. He has used chalk to create his art.

Pitara's family baking for our Glenbrae School Challenge this week

Pitara and her siblings participated in our Glenbrae School Challenge this week. The challenge was a bakikng challenge. The treats they baked look so delicious and their team work is fantastic. Well done Pitara, Kira and Tamatoa.
