Meeting our Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu buddies

Today we had the chance to see our Tuhi Atu Tuhi Atu buddy classes on a Google Meet. It was great to see the other classes because we have been viewing their blogs and getting to know them a little each week. We had the Whenua Class on the West Coast of the South Island and we also had Mr Feguson's class at Wesley Primary School in MT Roskill.

We look forward to working with our Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu friends this year and learning from each other.

Our student's work on Toitoi edition 22

Last year we we sent some narratives to Toitoi for their material selection. We were very happy when Viliami M's work was selected. Toitoi Edition 22 features one of our student's work and we are very proud of him. We also hope this will motivate our class to send more narratives to Toitoi. We also encourage you to send your work in. It can be narratives or illustrations.

Announcing our Wahanu Challenge winners

Congratulations to the boys in our class who won the Whanau Challenge during last week's lockdown. It was a tough decision to decide the winners. Mr Tofa our sponsor decided to award three 1st place prizes because of the great involvement from the whanau. Well done to our class students who participated and thank you to our parents, siblings and whanau for supporting their activities.

Today we used Google Earth for measuring distance, perimeter and area. Here is Soane explaining how to use Google Earth.

Today's Maths Challenge was pretty challenging, but the fact we had to do Measurement on Google Earth was super exciting to go through.

Family. We might not have it altogether but together we have it all. This is Pitara's presentation of her family tree.

Yesterday mum helped me out with a simple Family Tree. I was fortunate to go back 6 Generations through my maternal whanau. I really enjoyed this challenge and  wanted to include my pepeha. I hope you enjoy.
