Learning about the brain with Mrs Turner
Learning about the brain is magnificent because we have been learning about the functions of the brain and how much it helps us with our daily lives. Mrs Turner came in to our class to reach us about neuroplasticity. We learnt that there are two ways our brain communicates and those are through chemicals and electricity. Isn't it fascinating how our brains have electricity? We also got to make our own neurons using playdoh. It was a very educational session. Thank you Mrs Turner.
Statistical investigations

Positive relationship presentation by Anita for her first Manaiakalani presentation.
For the first half of Term 1, we have been learning about positive relationships. It has been a great way to start the year by exploring how we can work together and also learn about the effects of our actions and words on others. Alongside our inquiry work, we have also been practising our to and fro conversations in class. Well done Anita for this informative presentation.

Keeping fit with dancing
Our Kiwican leader Mr Alapati has been hosting dance jams during lunchtimes on Mondays. It is growing in popularity and enjoyed by all students. Keeping active is very important at our school. We participate in class fitness every morning, Kiwisport and P.E which is swimming in Term 1. Here is a video showing the fun we had this week.
